Music Monday [Vol. 10]

If you had tried to find a last-minute hotel room in San Francisco last weekend, it would have been damn near impossible. And if there were rooms available, it was for top-top dollar. (*ahem* $1200 a night at The Fairmont.) There were so many great events going on!

This is where I thank my lucky stars that I only live about an hour-and-a-half drive outside of the city. Because last weekend, I attended my first ever signing event, the San Fran Golden Gate Author Event! While many were in town for the Outside Lands music festival at Golden Gate Park, or the J-Pop Summit at the bayside Fort Mason Center, or the Sake Summit in Union Square...I was there for ALL the lovely romance authors! *fangirl squee* It was definitely one of the most fun weekends I've had this year! (I'll be doing a recap post on SFGGAE, so make sure to check back in tomorrow!)

After meeting so many awesome authors, readers, and a fellow blogger, I'm still floating on this high. The memories are still fresh. So, this week, I've decided to give the Music Monday playlist a "weekend in SF" theme. I went with a few songs that I recently discovered--my usual taste--and I chose a few of my favorite artists who were actually in the lineup for Outside Lands! From the vibe of SomeKindaWonderful's "California Love", to the beat of Odesza's "Say My Name", these tracks were just made for cruising around and could've easily been heard playing in the city last weekend. Imagine roaming the downtown grid, laying out in the grass at the park, or just being posted on a bench somewhere with a bay view...
