Interview: Will & Jamie, from Sweet Thing & Nowhere but Here by Renee Carlino (Giveaway!)

Last week, I featured a playlist inspired by Renee Carlino's next novel, After the Rain, which releases on November 11th! Just a few more days!!! *claps hands excitedly* So, while we're all waiting for this author's next masterpiece, let's revisit her first two quirky heroes!

Today, I have a fun Q&A with Will from Sweet Thing and Jamie from Nowhere but Here! If you've read their books, you know that they're both standalones...but, there's still an interesting connection. Ever wonder about that connection? Want to take a closer look at it, maybe? Well, Renee Carlino fans, this interview is for you. ;)

Ever wonder what happened after the final pages of Sweet Thing?

From his candid and sometimes neurotic point of view, Will tells all in this musical and sexy follow-up novella...

A Chicago reporter in her mid-twenties unexpectedly finds love in Napa Valley when she’s assigned to spend a week with a famously reclusive genius.

Jullie: I want to welcome Will and Jamie to the blog today! *super grin*

Will: Hey, everyone. It’s great to be here.

Jamie: Hello.

Jullie: I'd say you're a pair of charismatic, creative would you describe each other?

Will: I consider Jamie and Kate great friends of ours now, and the bonus is that they send us boxes of wine. Jamie’s one of the smartest guys I know and he’s taught me a lot about business.

Jamie: Awe, thanks, man. Will is overflowing with talent. There’s no shortage of talent in that family, that’s for sure. He’s been extremely loyal, a great friend and he’s great to have around for comic relief.

Will: Gee thanks.

Jamie: I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Jullie: Your respective specialties--making wine and music--are two passions that require a lot of time, heart, and soul. What's a favorite quote that you draw inspiration from?

Will:  The Arthur Rubenstein quote, “Love life and life will love you back.” Mia’s dad used to say that to her and I think it’s so true.

Jamie: I like the Oscar Wilde quote: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

Jullie: If you two were to switch careers for a day, what's one thing you'd want to experience?

Will: Definitely grape stomping.

Jamie: We don’t really do that anymore.

Will: Well, we’d start if I took over the winery.

Jamie: I’ll be sure never to let you take over the winery...If I were to do Will’s job for a day I’d probably want to take apart the soundboard and put it back together.

Will: How boring, dude. Wouldn’t you want to experience at least a little groupie love?

Jamie: Groupies terrify me.

Will: Awe, they’re sweet, man.

Jullie: Could you tell us an interesting story about one of your tattoos??

Will: Last time I was in California, Jamie and I went and got our kid’s names tattooed on our forearms.

Jullie: Last but not least...Will, you and Mia are on a double date with Kate and Jamie in New York. What would you guys do? Jamie, same question, but if you were all in Napa!

Will: We’d go to a great French place, La Baratin in the West village, that we love to take them to, and last time they were in town we went to see “Sleep No More,” which is a great live show.

Jamie: We’d probably take them sailing, since Mia and Will don’t get to do a lot outdoors where they live.

Jullie: Sooo...who wins Most Romantic, then? ;)

Jamie: I’ll let Will take that one. It’s good for his career.

Jullie: Thank you so much for answering these questions, guys! You're amazing! :)

Will: Thanks for having us.
