To Be Read + Recommendations Update!

It's been a super quiet week for the blog, but I have a good TBR list update today! Here are the books I've added to my Kindle this week, some interesting finds, and pre-orders that caught my eye!

*Note: All covers link to the books' Goodreads pages!

| Love In Rewind by Tali Alexander | Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo |
A MUSIC THEME?! Yes yes yes! Sounds exactly like my kind of thing, and I want to dive into this one as soon as possible!
| Losing Control by Jen Frederick | Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo |
I'm about 3/4 of the way done with the first book of the Kerr Chronicles series, and I'm loving Ian and Tiny! This book is currently on sale for just 99 CENTS!

| Taking Control by Jen Frederick | Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo |
This is the next book! Before I even reached the halfway point of Losing Control, I knew that I'd want to keep going, so I 1-clicked book two! It released a few days early, and I'm suuuper grateful for that now! ;)

| Every Ugly Word by Aimee L. Salter | Amazon |
When seventeen-year-old Ashley Watson walks through the halls of her high school, bullies taunt and shove her. She can't go a day without fighting with her mother. And no matter how hard she tries, she can't make her best friend, Matt, fall in love with her. But Ashley also has something no one else does: a literal glimpse into the future. When Ashley looks into the mirror, she can see her twenty-three-year-old self.
Her older self has been through it all already--she endured the bullying, survived the heartbreak, and heard every ugly word her classmates threw at her. But her older self is also keeping a dark secret: Something terrible is about to happen to Ashley. Something that will change her life forever. Something even her older self is powerless to stop.
I came across this book thanks to a recommendation from another blog, and the blurb totally hooked me in! (Which says a lot, considering I don't review Young Adult or Fantasy!) I reeeally like the premise! One of my favorite authors, Cora Carmack, also calls it: "Original. Authentic. Heart-breaking....Officially one of my favorites!"
| Loving Lies by Linda Kage | Amazon | B&N |
Tess Simpson absolutely cannot handle seeing anyone suffer. When she volunteers to work as a candy striper after the Granton University school shooting, she is only supposed to coax the amnesiac in room 312 to eat his supper. Yeah right. After learning no one’s come to visit him since he woke from a coma and can’t remember who he is, Tess needs to make him feel loved, ASAP. Telling him she’s his girlfriend isn’t part of her plan, but that’s exactly what blurts from her mouth.
I also read an excerpt on the author's website!

| Mazie Baby by Julie Frayn | Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo |
When Mazie Reynolds was a young girl, she believed monsters lived under her bed. Now a grown, married woman, she discovers one sleeps in her bed.
Instant blurb jolt! This sounds like a tough, emotional read, but since I crave a good tear-jerker every once in a while, I'm putting Mazie Baby on my TBR list!
| Calling Card by Ashely Suzanne | Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo |
I’m me. Nothing more, nothing less. You can take it or leave it, but usually, they take it. And I proudly give it. Every. Last. Inch.
Companionship only lasts as long as it takes me to leave my card on the counter as I’m leaving before she wakes up.
My name’s Dexter MacFadden. What’s your number?
Aaah, yes. One of those guys. *evil grin* New release addition to my reading pile!
| Wife Number Seven by Melissa Brown | Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo |
You see, there’s more to me than the braid that spills down my back.
More to me than the layers of heavy fabric that maintain my modesty.
And so much more than the oppressive wedding band that adorns my finger--the same band that each of my sister wives wear.
So much more.
To protest would be sinful.
I must keep sweet, that is my duty.
I've heard great things about this book, and the storyline certainly seems unique. It's currently on sale, priced at $1.99!

| What If by Shirley Anne Edwards | Amazon | B&N | Kobo |
Author Jennifer L. Armentrout called What If a "startling unique spin on Peter Pan with mystery and romance" and that was all that I needed to hear! Definitely intrigued!

| Melt for Him by Lauren Blakely | Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo |
Brother's best friend. Fireman. Eeeeeep! ;P
| Uncivilized by Sawyer Bennett | Amazon | iTunes |
That cover. That blurb. Whoa. Sounds iiinteresting!
