To Be Read: Recommendations Update!

Some of my favorite 5 STAR, MUST-READ books are on sale this week!!!

|| Deeper by Robin York | Purchase ***$0.99*** | My Review ||
When Caroline Piasecki’s ex-boyfriend posts their sex pictures on the Internet, it destroys her reputation as a nice college girl. Suddenly her once-promising future doesn’t look so bright. Caroline tries to make the pictures disappear, hoping time will bury her shame. Then a guy she barely knows rises to her defense...
If you want to read about something different and intriguing, Deeper is for you. If you want a beautifully written story, Robin York's striking style is for you. And if you want to laugh out loud, and feel that ache in your heart, and swoon like crazy...Caroline and West. Are. For. You. The first book in this series takes you down a unique emotional road about two damaged-yet-driven people, and by the end of it, you'll absolutely be craving for more!

|| Pretty Little Things by Teresa Mummert | Purchase ***$0.99*** | My Review & Playlist ||
We were the lucky few that got a chance to start over. A fake family, a new home and a pretty little life built on lies. But while our lives continued to intertwine, we were put on very different paths. Now it was only a matter of time before they collide and the beast behind the beauty is exposed.
I have been SO excited about this sale, telling EVERYONE I possibly could to go buy this book! NOW!!! Teresa Mummert has been re-posting teasers (all of them hitting me with major COLIN FEELS!), and she also shared this enticing trailer. *waggles eyebrows* Here's my own teaser:

|| In the Company of Killers Series by J.A. Redmerski | Purchase ***$0.99*** ||
|| Killing Sarai Review | Reviving Izabel Review + Playlist/Cast ||

Here are a couple more Romantic Suspense novels that just blew my mind! J.A. Redmerski managed to keep me fixated on Victor and Sarai's story from the second I opened the book to the moment I read the last words. Whether it's "traditional" romance or not, I adore any book that can put me through the wringer and pull me out on the other side completely mesmerized, and the In the Company of Killers series has that "it-factor" for me!

|| Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren | Purchase ||
One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.
I absolutely adore this author duo and every book that they've ever released. *dreamy sigh* (My Beautiful series reviews: #1 + #1.5, #2, #2.5, #3) Sweet Filthy Boy is the first book in their new series, Wild Seasons. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC, and I can't wait to share my thoughts on my blog tour date! Stay tuned on Monday, May 19! ;)

|| All Lined Up by Cora Carmack | Purchase | Excerpt ||
In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.
Cora's new series kicks off with All Lined Up! I have been going crazy, waiting to read Dallas and Carson's story! It's Friday Night Lights meets New Adult flair, so be prepared to laugh and swoon!

|| Entice by Rachel Van Dyken | Purchase ***$0.99*** ||
Loyalties will be tested, lovers reunited, and friendships obliterated.

Welcome to the Family. Blood in — No out.
My blog tour stop for this New Adult mafia romance will be on Tuesday, May 20! But I must say...just 1-click this bad boy already! ;)

|| The Forgotten Girl by Jessica Sorensen | Purchase ||
Twenty-one year-old Maddie Asherford is haunted by a past she can’t remember. When she was fifteen years old, there was a tragic accident and she was left with amnesia.
In the aftermath, Maddie’s left struggling with who she is—the forgotten girl she was six years ago or the Maddie she is now. Sometimes it even feels like she might be two different people completely—the good Maddie and the bad one.
This is a standalone, dark thriller! Aaaaaand it effectively gave me a blurb-jolt! Amnesia storylines are always interesting, but this one looks like it'll pack an extra punch!

|| Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy Cherry | Purchase ||
To Whom it May Concern,
It was easy to call us forbidden and harder to call us soulmates. Yet I believed we were both. Forbidden soulmates.
When I arrived to Edgewood, Wisconsin I didn’t plan to find him. I didn't plan to stumble into Joe's bar and have Daniel's music stir up my emotions. I had no clue that his voice would make my hurts forget their own sorrow. I had no idea that my happiness would remember its own bliss.
When I started senior year at my new school, I wasn’t prepared to call him Mr. Daniels, but sometimes life happens at the wrong time for all the right reasons.
Our love story wasn’t only about the physical connection.
It was about family. It was about loss. It was about being alive. It was silly. It was painful. It was mourning. It was laughter.
It was ours.
And for those reasons alone, I would never apologize for loving Mr. Daniels.
-Ashlyn Jennings
I've been hearing a lot of amazing things about this book. And, really, it's a teacher-student romance. There was never any doubt that I would be interested. ;) I've been told, though, that it has a heart-wrenching effect similar to Slammed by Colleen Hoover, not so much dark forbidden.

|| Nowhere but Here by Renee Carlino | Purchase | My Review + Playlist ||

Speaking of heart-wrenchers, I can't recommend this book enough!!! After Sweet Thing, I said that Renee Carlino reached out and touched my heart and soul. And you know what? She's done it again with Nowhere But Here, a story about finding love and what it takes to keep that love. She tells this story with beautifully complex characters, equally stunning locations that become characters of their own, and a journey so full of twists and turns that I wanted to laugh, swoon, and cry--multiple times.

|| After the Rain by Renee Carlino | Purchase ||
Under the bright arena lights of a rodeo show, young Avelina Belo falls for a handsome cowboy with a larger-than-life personality. After a whirlwind courtship, she happily moves away from her family in northern California and settles into married life with her cowboy on a seven-thousand-acre cattle ranch in Montana. One freak accident later, Avelina’s hopes for the future come to an end.
Nate Myers graduated from UCLA medical school at the top of his class, ready to follow in the footsteps of his father, a superstar cardiothoracic surgeon. Six years later, Nate’s career is being ruined by a malpractice suit. Questioning himself for the first time, he retreats to a Montana cattle ranch to visit his uncle and gain perspective. There, he meets a beautiful young woman named Avelina who teaches him more than he ever knew about matters of the heart.
And speaking of Renee Carlino...She recently shared the blurb for her next standalone novel, and it's now available for pre-order!

|| Bang by E.K. Blair | Purchase ||
They say when you take revenge against another you lose a part of your innocence.
But I’m not innocent.
I haven’t been for a very long time.
My innocence was stolen from me
This one is currently sitting at the very top of my TBR list! It's been pre-ordered, and I'll probably start reading it as soon as it downloads. I've been fascinated since this book was announced! Just watch the book's trailer, and you'll see what I mean. ;)

|| The Wild Side by R.K. Lilley | +Goodreads ||
Is a walk on the wild side just what he needs to get his on track or a disaster in the making?  Is it possible for someone that much younger to be just what he needs, or is she a fortune hunter, as everyone keeps telling him?  Is it his hormones telling him that the mysterious younger woman is the one, or could it be more?
Pre-order isn't technically available yet, but I've put this one on my TBR list because it goes live in less than a week! It's the first installment from a new series of novellas from R.K. Lilley, the author of the wildly popular Up in the Air and Tristan & Danika series! You can check out a huge teaser posted on her blog.

|| Crossing Stars | Purchase | +Goodreads ||
While the city of Chicago sleeps, a war wages in the streets between two powerful families. While the public assumes organized crime is nothing more than a chapter torn out of America’s history, the Costa and Moran families battle for territory and domination.
Yes, I'm a sucker for a mob story. A big, big sucker.

|| The Blood Feud | Purchase ||
|| The Blood Tie, Book #2 | Purchase ||
Who would have thought that the death of an aging ex-mafia boss would start a war between law enforcement, the mafia and a secret criminal underworld organization known as The Association?
Homicide Detective Jesse Richards is facing the murder case of his career. With hardly any evidence, no witnesses and no identity of the murderer he’s looking for, for the first time he fears he’s been given a case that will end up in the cold files. Desperate to uncover the reason behind Vito Russo’s seemingly senseless death, he’ll stop at nothing to bring the killer he’s looking for to justice. Just when he believes the case has reached a dead end, he stumbles upon a not so lucky break. Could the ruthless killer he’s looking for be the same man who has stolen his daughter’s heart?
This is a series that released last year, but I came across an interview with the author on Indie Authorland. It looks interesting and, hello, something I would totally dive into!

|| Forever Innocent by Deanna Roy | Purchase ||
"Our baby died on prom night, and nothing was ever the same again."

Corabelle doesn't feel like any of the other college girls. On what should have been one of the happiest nights of her life, she and her boyfriend Gavin watched a nurse disconnect the ventilator from their seven-day-old baby. During the funeral two days later, Gavin walked out and never returned.
Again, I heard about this one from Indie Authorland. When I read the blurb, I couldn't help but go like this -- Aww :(

|| A Broken Forever by Megan Noelle | Purchase ||
While mourning the loss of their little girl they were also suffering the loss of each other. Stefan blamed himself for their daughter’s death, drowning away the guilt in liquor.

Grey had never been so alone. Stefan had died inside the day their child did. Doing the only thing she could to save herself, she ended their marriage.

Six Years Later...
I'm not trying to pile on the emotional reads, with kids involved...I promise...but this one has the potential to be a really, really good read!

|| Perfectly Damaged by E.L. Montes | Purchase ||
Schizoaffective disorder: a mental illness in which a person experiences a combination of mood disorder and schizophrenia symptoms.

I know about this illness—very well—because I suffer from it. It’s been four years since my diagnosis, and ever since, I’ve been living in a dark hole. Voices constantly invading my thoughts. Hallucinations. All of which force me to question if what I’m experiencing is even reality.

But here I am, still hanging on, still breathing and living through it.

That is, until he stumbled into my life. Logan Reed.
I was definitely interested in this kind of storyline, but the cover is also beautiful!

*** If you've already read any of these books, I'd love to hear your thoughts on them! Feel free to leave comments! :) ***
